Micro Weddings - Parq Marriot Hotel & Polygon Gallery Venue Wedding with Filosophi Events

Micro Weddings during Covid:
Parq Marriot Hotel & Polygon Gallery Venue Wedding

There is something to be said about having a Micro Wedding right now and how beautifully intimate they are. The quality time that is present that isn't necessarily always there with bigger weddings has become of note in the last year. Couples choosing to not delay their marriages and marrying their best friend along with their special 10 guests is now one of my favourite types of weddings.

By the end of the wedding I've learned about your friends and family and how they love and support our couples. From our first meeting, I knew I loved R+B - we talked about their love story, affinity for tea, their geeky loves (much like our loves for Star Wars - we had just gotten back from Galaxy's Edge) and our shared love for cars! Scroll to check our Ben's Audi A8! I got to hear about fun stories from their family and we talked about cocktails and fantastic restaurants Ben and Rachael love to eat at (my foodie couple!).

Ben's little one was tugging at my heart strings all day at JW Marriot Parq Vancouver Hotel where they got ready - "helping" me take photographs in the morning and proudly showing off her princess style dress. Kiddos are one of my favourite parts of the wedding day and how excited they are to be apart of it. Giving them the big job of flower girl or ring bearer is something they remember forever and take very seriously.

The Polygon Gallery Venue is one of my favourites in Vancouver for it has one of the best city ocean views. And it's West facing (a photographer's dream!). R+B had a gorgeous sunset summer ceremony and beautiful family photos within the gallery that celebrated their wedding and how intimate it was.

Followed by their Ceremony - we ventured back to Parq Vancouver and they feasted at The Victor - which has a private space for dinning which was perfect for this micro wedding. Erin from Filosophi pulled together the details for this beautifully intimate dinner using decor from local vendors.

Love was in the air and ever so present.
Thank you both for sharing your love story with me.

xoxo
