Cindy & Mark, A Victoria BC Wedding

Cindy and Mark's Wedding Day started with the traditional 'games' at Cindy's doorstep. It would be a challenge for him and his groomsmen to enter the home. They had to prove themselves they would do anything for Cindy even including drinking Wasabi in the morning. With each challenge they defeated yet another hurdle on their way to get to the 'princess' aka Cindy.

After finally winning the bridesmaids approval Mark was finally allowed to see his bride and onward to the tea ceremony they went. With friends and family gathered in Cindy's home the ceremony was full of love. Cindy wore her traditional garment for the ceremony that was elaborately fashioned with fine details.

Then it was time for their Catholic Church ceremony at Sacred Heart Church. And here is when I teared up. Cindy is such a strong, beautiful woman and seeing her smile proudly the whole way down the aisle on her own was such an amazing moment. Cindy's father passed away and so she decided it would be best if she walked herself down the aisle. When the bridesmaids told me this, it was hard not to fight back a few tears. She looked gorgeous smiling her way towards Mark.

The reception was particularly fun for Verlon and I to photograph as this group of guests was lively! From a constant showing of toasts, fun games and heart warming speeches. Cindy & Mark I wish you both the best!
