Stanley Park Engagement Photographer - Danna & Matt

The storybook romance of Danna and Matt began after Matt's hockey games when he would go into the restaurant where Danna worked. Danna called him quite 'sauve'. After a few dates it was clear the two were meant for each other. With bike rides, walking their dog at Mill Lake and conversation it would make sense that Matt would later pop the question.

Craving a get-a-away the two travelled south to their place in 'The Glen". Great conversations always start around a fire and in the outdoors (at least that's what the hippie in me says). Matt began talking about life and their relationship and how happy he was. With complete surprise for Danna he asked her to be his wife. When the two were deciding on a location for their engagement session it was important for them to have everything they appreciate about BC and it only made sense to trek out to Stanley Park.

The weekend prior to their engagement session the Shangri-La Bridal Show was happening and a big thanks to Sweet Piece by Marjolein hooked us up with tickets. We went and saw some of our vendor friends at the show and met new friends. I even managed to convince Verlon to try their noon tea at Shangri-La which was amazing. Fyi, the only place that has BREWED ICE TEA on the menu! It was a giant love-fest when I found out. I wanted to go for a walk around Stanley Park before the shoot, so Verlon and I soaked up the sun and walked around Stanley Park and watched the sunset on the beach. I knew I absolutely had to take Danna and Matt down to the beach to end our session. The light, the beach it was so beautiful.

I'm so very excited to be photographing their wedding next year.
