Kirkland House Wedding, Delta, BC: Ellie & Spencer

At the beautiful Kirkland House in Delta - Ellie & Spencer would meet under a Linden Tree and join their own roots together in marriage. With family and friends gathered under the sun, and with God they said their promises, exchanged rings and made a peanut butter and jelly sandwich together. Friends played instruments and sang with happy hearts for the ceremony. After the ceremony guests enjoyed lemonade and popcorn while playing lawn games before making their way over to the reception in the barn at the Kirkland House property. Their wedding was incredibly personalized and each detail carefully planned. From heirloom pieces that Ellie wore as Jewellery to the scrabble board at their reception with the help of their family. Ellie's something old was a broach from her grandmother that had a rose shape that she pinned onto the back of her dress.

In the morning when the two met for their first look on the front porch they exchanged smiles and sweet words before opening their gifts/notes for one another. Spencer had been writing letters to his future wife before he had ever met Ellie and saved each letter in the box. Ellie read the latest letter address to her, his soon to be wife. It was such a sweet gesture and I'm sure she is excited to read all the letters from the past years. I've always loved the saying "I've searched and waiting for you my entire life" and their love is truly one of a kind.

With a special cake made for the couple, guest could indulge in pies  brought by various guests from the 'pie tasting contest', winners were chosen by the bridal party - the winner was the "Octo-Pie". Wines were from Bordeaux, France - Ellie's brother-in-law is a sommelier in France and chose a favourite wine to bring for the winning to celebrate the great occasion.

It was truly such a pleasure to be present at your wedding - Ellie & Spencer, we wish you only the best, and again - Thank You.

Yaletown Newborn Photographer: Vancouver Newborn Photographer

I recently photographed Katie & Craig's maternity session in Yaletown, and I was welcomed back to photograph their new addition  - baby girl - Lindsay! I was so excited to come to the couples apartment and photograph their little one.

Lindsay had quite the personality even only being less than a week old! She would constantly wink, or peer one eye open to see what was going on around her. But aside from her cute little personality developing she has this way of bringing out the love in everyone around.

Katie & Craig came up with the brilliant idea of having family photographs taken as well as newborn. Craig and Katie's parents were both present and I had a chance to document all of them together celebrating the arrival of Lindsay. This was such a fabulous idea - I highly recommend this to all expecting couples. Not only is it a great way to get the family together, but create really special memories for your children.
