Happy Thanks Giving

It's that time of year again, the turkey coma weekend. I hope everyone is enjoying this time to relax and connect with their families. Life is incredibly short and we need to cherish these moments when we can to surround ourselves with people who love and care about us. 

It was nice to have the weekend off to enjoy some time in Victoria with my family as it has been a while that I could come to Victoria, not work and just enjoy my families company. The joy that my little niece brings to our family has change our dynamic completely, and I love it. She lights up our get togethers with all the cute, and ridiculous things she does. Like yesterday she was mimicking the 'Gangnam Style' video side shuffling around, riding a horse dance and making my old childhood stuffed cat toy dance with her. It's wild how observant she is, being she is only 2. It makes me feel extra cautious since she responds and is so much more aware than you really think such a young child would be. I'm incredibly thankful for her and she reminds our family to spend more time with laughter and love.

I hope all your Thanks Giving weekend's were filled with love, laughter and so much more.

    Highlight of the weekend was seeing my little niece, it's so wild so see how much she's changed as she grows. Have a great long weekend everyone!

Langley Wedding Photographer - Lainey & Tyson

I'm so excited to show the images from Lainey & Tyson's Wedding and OH MY! Is it ever a long one! It was hard to narrow down their blog post as I was so excited to photograph our friend's wedding. Lainey & Tyson are an amazing couple. With cool September weather we arranged for their first look in the afternoon and photos in Aldergrove. This past summer I photographed Lainey & Tyson's engagement photos and they were published on Style Me Pretty this past month you can view it here. 

Lainey has such a unique style with accessories and taste and she looked absolutely fabulous for your wedding day. I LOVED her short styled dress! Totally suited her. And Tyson looked incredibly handsome in his suit. It was great to be around them and their wedding party - as I photographed Erin & Lawrence's wedding who were in the bridal party!

When Lainey and I arrived at the First Look location, Tyson was sitting finishing up a letter for Lainey. How romantic seriously! If your getting married, it's such a great idea to exchange a letter or card on the day of and maybe read it before your ceremony. Keep these letters and read them on your future anniversaries. 

They were both anxious, nervous and incredibly excited to see each other during their first look. Lainey kept mentioning how she just wanted to be 'married already'. Tyson mentioned after the first look that he was thankful to have had these moments with Lainey before the ceremony. They had a moment to themselves, to talk, to hug, and just enjoy each other and when they were ready and wanted to we started photographing the two of them. I highly encourage a first look as a great alternative on a wedding day. It's your day, do what YOU want.
