Fairmont Empress Victoria Wedding Photographer // Jamie & David

Jamie and David came from California for their destination wedding in beautiful Victoria, BC. With family and friends they said their I do's in the Palm Court at the Fairmont Empress due to an early morning rain. But we enjoyed the sunshine in the Rose Garden where their ceremony was to take place later that evening. The sun came out to make an afternoon appearance for their formal portraits.

We had the pleasure of working with David's sister Brianne who was a fantastic co-ordinator to assist them. The fairmont co-ordinator Sandra was amazing and we also had a fun time working with our favourite videographers Erin & Mac from Hello Tomorrow (also from Langley!).

Getting to know Jamie & David via Skype and their last visit for their engagement session has been an absolute pleasure. From our talks about love for wine, peanut brittle and architecture we made such an amazing connection with this couple. I'm so very excited for the two of them as they start their new journey together.

The First Look

New Westminster Quay Engagement Photographer // Jody & Koji

The weather lately has been so unpredictable here on the West Coast. It was starting out with dark clouds, thunder showers and breaking in the late afternoon to gorgeous sunsets. I love the water, and when Jody called me to decide where they were going to go for their engagement photos I was excited to meet them at the New Westminster Quay.

The day was beautiful with clear skies and the sun shining over New West. We walked the Quay and enjoyed the waterfront view while photographing their engagement session. Getting to also know them better before their big day. 

An engagement session is a must for my clients, I want them to be in front of the camera before their big day. We get to know our clients better and they get to feel more confident in front of the camera. This is why I include an engagement session with all our wedding packages. It's not only for the couple, it's for us too. We want to be more than just your photographers, we want to be your friends for your big day!
