New Westminster Quay Engagement Photographer // Jody & Koji

The weather lately has been so unpredictable here on the West Coast. It was starting out with dark clouds, thunder showers and breaking in the late afternoon to gorgeous sunsets. I love the water, and when Jody called me to decide where they were going to go for their engagement photos I was excited to meet them at the New Westminster Quay.

The day was beautiful with clear skies and the sun shining over New West. We walked the Quay and enjoyed the waterfront view while photographing their engagement session. Getting to also know them better before their big day. 

An engagement session is a must for my clients, I want them to be in front of the camera before their big day. We get to know our clients better and they get to feel more confident in front of the camera. This is why I include an engagement session with all our wedding packages. It's not only for the couple, it's for us too. We want to be more than just your photographers, we want to be your friends for your big day!

New West Rose Garden & Quay Wedding: Elise & Justin

Elise walked along the Quay, knowing that she would meet Justin, her future husband in less than a couple hours. Walking towards him, with joyful excited smiles they held their wedding day hug and walked off for a moment alone along the water. 

With their closest friends there to share in the fun of the day between sharing in laughs, and a drink they helped the excitement of the day grow. It was the first first look that I've ever had the request of having the whole bridal party there. As Elise walked towards Justin, they yelled out and clapped with excitement they were sharing for the couple.

Elise and Justin said their 'I Do' at the Rose Garden in New Westminster and spent the afternoon at the Quay in the sunshine. With a fun party like atmosphere at The Metro, the reception was full of laughs, dancing and smiles. The Metro has such a luxe club like lounge atmosphere and created an intimate warm feeling in the night and once the dancing started the lights went low and the real party was started.
