Theresa & John's TEASER ALERT! White Rock Engagement Photographer

Theresa walked into her sorority's Halloween party and was drawn to the man with the tattooed face mask. The mysteriousness of it all led the intrigue. After an evening spent chat tin' up this mysterious man whom she would later find out was John - she was hooked.

A few weeks later fate struck and Theresa walked into a pub and sitting with her friends was was this guy. It was the mystery man from the party - John.

These two were incredibly fun to photograph, right from the beginning they just let loose and had fun with each other. There was so much laughter and playing, it didn't feel like a photo-shoot. It felt like just a fun day at the beach with friends. I cannot wait for your wedding here in Langley.

Here are some photos from Theresa & John's White Rock Engagement.

Harmony House in White Rock, Family Session for Silent Auction - White Rock Family Photography

Once a friend of mine Fiona told me that Harmony House was looking for individuals to get involved in it's annual fundraising event - I was immediately game!

"Every child at Harmony House is given the individual attention to ensure that they their learning is directed by their natural interests and aptitudes. By capitalising on every child’s natural strengths, Harmony House will ensure that our children obtain the skills necessary for school readiness both socially and academically.
The uniqueness of the preschool is inspired by the uncommon opportunity for the children to be learning side by side with children with Autism in a fully integrated classroom. All of the children will have the opportunity to learn to communicate non verbally using PECS and sign language and Harmony House especially emphasises acceptance, diversity and understanding. Our intention is to prepare all of the Harmony House children to approach life and all people with those same values that the staff maintains in the classroom." - http://harmonyhousebc.ca
Today I stopped by the event location - ULounge in White Rock and had the chance to meet Bohdanna, the executive director at Harmony House and Tracey who is also involved at Harmony House and was helping organize the event. I'm really excited to offer what I can by providing a family session that individuals can bid on with all proceeds going towards Harmony House. I'm really excited to find out how it all goes and meet the winner bidders! They are people who seek change and want to help they are just my kind of clients.
A big special thanks over to the ladies at Harmony House for arranging such a great event and I'm very glad to be apart of it!

Tea time at the Empress - Fairmont Empress Victoria BC

It's a Sunday, a day for pretty dresses, church and family. My mother always dressed me in these dresses that made me look like a little pastry. Colours of pinks, purples and blues with floral designs all over them. My favourite dresses however were always white to my mother's dismay - she dreaded washing white clothing from a child. We would get out from church and hop in our car and drive home and have family Brunch after church. Sunday was our lazy family day. And on good days (when my parent's were feeling okay) we would go for a 'passeio' (Portuguese for "outing") which meant we would go for a drive in downtown Victoria past the harbour front. If I was 'good' that usually meant a stop at dairy queen for some ice cream afterwards.

I loved our Sunday 'passeio' they were my favourite part of being out with my parents - just driving around in the family car. Not much has changed. I still love driving in the car, and exploring. I love getting in the car and seeing where we end up. Verlon and I constantly take drives out into the valley to explore or down in Washington. Sometimes I feel like I was meant to be a dog, and stick my head out the window since I'm always just so excited to go for "car rides". Yikes, my future kids are totally going to only get to sleep by riding in the car!

I always remembered when we would go for our drives downtown looking at the Empress and wanting to go for Tea so badly, or to even stay at the Empress. Well, at this point I have done both. And I finally had a chance to get my mother to go with me for Tea at the Empress before my birthday. These photos below are from our trip to the Empress and tea time. I'm such a sucker for nice tea porcelain!

This past weekend I was working on the island and had a lovely Wedding and Engagement sessions. - Today my mother and I went for a car drive out to Sooke and had ice tea's on a patio at a special spot on the island. I was glad to make up for my absence yesterday to hang out with her today. Even though she drives me crazy sometimes with mothering (too much love!) I appreciate and value her so much. Love you mom!

Personal - Home Movie

I figure I've been neglecting one of the coolest elements of my camera - the fact it records in HD! So yesterday Verlon and I had a sunset walk on the beach and I recorded some video on our way there - home video's just got so much cooler! I thought I'd share a little personal home movie with you :)
